Fly Rugs are every horse owners biggest bug. They're either too heavy, too hot, the mesh is too wide or they just don't cover the right areas. We've tried them all and the only really good one, which doesn't make the horse hot, doesn't rub, washes easily and fits well is the Boett sweet itch rug. You can, at a push, even ride in it. But, Boett rugs aren't cheap and not every horse needs that level of fly protection, so just make sure you find the right fly rug for your horse and don't just go for the cheapest you can find. |
