Sprenger KK ULTRA Bits take advantage of the exceptional sensitivity of your horses tongue and your horse would probably prefer Sprenger KK Bits. Why, because Sprenger, in collaboration with the Veterinary University in Hanover, undertook a project which included measuring the height of the equine palate and the size of the cavity where a bit would sit. More than 70 horses were analysed and it was discovered that the interior volume of the mouth was less than had been previously thought. The palate was both smaller and often flatter than originally imagined and therefore, the space usually available for the bit is more limited.
